Overview
Urethral cancer is a rare cancer that starts in the cells lining the urethra. It is more common in women than in men.
Symptoms
- Blood in the urine
- Weak or interrupted urine flow
- Frequent urination
- A lump or growth in the urethra
Treatment
Treatment depends on the stage and location of the cancer. Options include surgery to remove the tumor (and potentially part of the urethra or bladder), radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.
