Overview
Clean Intermittent Catheterization (CIC) involves inserting a catheter into the bladder to drain urine and then removing it. It is done several times a day to empty the bladder completely.
Benefits
CIC mimics normal bladder function better than an indwelling catheter. It reduces the risk of infection, protects the kidneys from high pressure, and improves independence and quality of life.
Training & Support
We provide comprehensive training for patients (or their caregivers) to perform CIC safely and hygienically at home. With practice, it becomes a simple routine.
